KRITIK SASTRA MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN SOSIOLOGIS PADA LAGU “TARIAN PENGHANCUR RAYA” KARYA FEAST

Abstract

The song Tarian Penghancur Raya by the band Feast contains sharp 
criticism of social phenomena that occur in modern society, 
especially related to pollution and destruction of nature. Feast's song 
seems to take listeners to various dark realities that occur in the 
country. Packaging social issues with messages that they want to 
convey through song lyrics, Feast did quite a lot of research in 
creating lyrics and themes, representing the aggrieved parties, so 
that what comes out of the narrative is quite complex. The lyrics of 
"Tarian Penghancur Raya" were also created based on research on 
the causes of air pollution due to forest fires and industrial factories, 
environmental pollution due to plastic waste, and also the case of the 
prohibition of the implementation of local wisdom in the 
Banyuwangi area by mass organizations, namely the Gandrung 
Dance, which is considered to bring disaster because it indulges in 
immorality. Feast does not only directly criticize the phenomena that 
occur, but packages them with satirical and sarcastic lyrics.
