Abstract

Employee recruitment and selection are key elements in human resource management, especially for strategic positions such as Sales Executives. At PT Hadji Kalla Toyota, the high demand for sales personnel at the beginning of each month is often hindered by applicants who fail to attend the online selection sessions without prior notice. To overcome this obstacle and enhance recruitment efficiency and effectiveness, the company has implemented a digital infrastructure-based online selection system. This community service initiative aims to observe and support the optimization of the online selection process at PT Hadji Kalla Toyota, with activities conducted from February to May 2025. The methods used include participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that all stages of the selection process—from job vacancy announcements, semi-structured interviews by the Human Capital team and users, psychological tests, to job offers—are conducted online with adequate digital infrastructure support. Although the online selection process presents several challenges, such as applicants' unexplained absences, responsive strategies like rescheduling and candidate rotation are implemented as solutions. Overall, this initiative is expected to serve as a practical reference for other companies in designing effective online selection processes, as well as an example of best practices in digital recruitment.
