Abstract

Anti-inflammatory is a kind of activity that is often found as a therapeutic mechanism to treat several diseases so that its potential from natural ingredients can be an alternative choice. This study aims to find the lead compound of the compounds contained in celery (Apium graveolens) as anti-inflammatory. This research method is in silico including Lipinski prediction of compounds contained in celery (Apium graveolens) on the SwissADME site, Admetoks prediction on the PreADMET site, pharmacophore screening using LigandScout software, and molecular docking of compounds to COX-2 receptor with code 3LN1 on the rcsb protein data bank site using AutoDock4 The result of molecular docking of compounds in celery (Apium graveolens) which is the lead compound with the best anti-inflammatory activity is xanthotoxin.
