Abstract
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that can cause complications, one of which is peripheral neuropathy characterized by tingling symptoms in the lower extremities. One of the non-pharmacological efforts that can be done to reduce these complaints is diabetic foot exercises. This study aims to describe the implementation of foot exercises in patients with diabetes mellitus in reducing tingling complaints at the Klatakan Health Center. Methods: This study used a descriptive non-analytic case study design on one patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus with tingling complaints. Data collection was carried out by interview, observation, and implementation of foot exercises according to procedures for three days. Results: The evaluation results showed a gradual decrease in tingling complaints after foot exercises. Patients felt lighter, warmer, and significantly less tingling in their feet. Conclusion: The implementation of foot exercises can be an effective and easy-to-do intervention to reduce tingling symptoms in patients with diabetes mellitus.
