Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) on the consumer behavior of STIE Pembangunan Tanjungpinang students and its implications on personal financial management. QRIS as a practical and fast digital payment tool makes it easier for students to make non-cash transactions, but it also has the potential to trigger consumer behavior such as impulsive, wasteful, and irrational purchases if not managed properly. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey and questionnaire method whose samples came from STIE Pembangunan Tanjungpinang students who participated in using QRIS. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of the use of QRIS which shows the convenience and benefits that can be felt from using QRIS contributing significantly to increasing consumer behavior towards students. However, good financial literacy can be an obstacle to this consumer behavior, helping students make more rational and controlled personal processing decisions. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of increasing financial literacy as an effort to mitigate the use of QRIS on students' personal financial management in an effort to increase financial literacy among the younger generation.
