PENGARUH KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIKA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII SMP CEMPAKA

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh kemampuan literasi matematika terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Cempaka pada materi statistika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu 25 siswa kelas VII-2 SMP Cempaka. Teknik pengambilan data kemampuan literasi menggunakan 4 soal essay dan data hasil belajar menggunakan nilai ulangan harian materi statistika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas data (uji Liliefors) dan analisis korelasi (uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara kemampuan literasi matematika dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII-2 SMP Cempaka pada materi statistika dengan nilai koefisien korelsi sebesar 0,80343 dan nilai t hitung sebesar 6,4714 > t tabel 2,069. Sehingga semakin baik kemampuan literasi matematika siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa.

This research was conducted with the aim of determining whether there is an influence of mathematical literacy skills on the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at Cempaka Junior High School on the topic of statistics. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The subjects in this study are 25 students from class VII-2 at Cempaka Junior High School. Data collection techniques for literacy skills used 4 essay questions, and learning outcomes data were obtained from daily test scores on the statistics material. Data analysis techniques employed normality tests (Liliefors test) and correlation analysis (Pearson Product Moment correlation test). The results of the study indicate that there is a very strong and significant influence between mathematical literacy skills and the learning outcomes of students in class VII-2 at Cempaka Junior High School on the topic of statistics, with a correlation coefficient of 0.80343 and a calculated t value of 6.4714 > t table 2.069. Thus, the better the mathematical literacy skills of the students, the higher the learning outcomes achieved by the students.
