ANALISIS PSIKOLOGI INDIVIDUAL TOKOH SRI NINGSIH DALAM NOVEL TENTANG KAMU KARYA TERE LIYE (TEORI ALFRED ADLER)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character of Sri Ningsih in the novel 
Tentang Kamu by Tere Liye based on Alfred Adler's Individual 
Psychology theory, which includes the concepts of inferiority 
feelings, lifestyle, social interest, creative self, fictional finalism, and 
striving for superiority. The research method used is descriptive 
qualitative with a literary psychology approach. The data source for 
this study is the novel Tentang Kamu by Tere Liye. Data collection 
techniques were carried out through repetitive and comprehensive 
reading and note-taking. The findings of this study indicate the 
presence of: (1) inferiority feelings with five data points; (2) lifestyle 
with four data points; (3) creative self with five data points; (4) social 
interest with six data points; (5) fictional finalism with two data 
points; and (6) striving for superiority with six data points. These 
findings suggest that the personality development of Sri Ningsih 
aligns with the concepts of Individual Psychology proposed by Alfred 
Adler.
