Abstract
Domestic violence or KDRT is not something unfamiliar that we hear lately. Legally, KDRT is defined as any act against a person, especially women, that results in physical, sexual, psychological inequality or suffering and/or neglect of the household, including threats to commit acts, coercion, or unlawful deprivation of liberty within the household. Although a clear legal framework exists, the implementation and effectiveness of legal protection still face various challenges. Therefore, this study aims to analyze legal protection efforts for victims of physical violence in the household based on Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (PKDRT Law). The research method used is normative juridical, namely by reviewing laws and regulations, legal theory, and related literature to analyze the problem. Primary data was obtained from the PKDRT Law, while secondary data came from scientific journals, books, and relevant court decisions. The results of the study indicate that the PKDRT Law has provided a comprehensive legal basis for victim protection, covering victims' rights, state obligations, and case handling procedures.
