SURVEI MINAT PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MENGIKUTI EKSTRAKURIKULER BOLA TANGAN DI SMAN 4 PROBOLINGGO

Abstract

Extracurricular activities are activities that can help students develop the interests, talents, and abilities that exist in a student. One of the schools in Probolinggo City that has extracurricular handball activities is SMAN 4 Probolinggo. The consistency of students' attendance in handball extracurricular activities is only around 40 - 50%. This study aims to determine the interest of students and find out what factors are most dominant in influencing students' interest in participating in extracurricular handball. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative using a questionnaire or questionnaire using a Likert scale which is analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques. The population in this study were students and female students of SMAN 4 Probolinggo ranging from class X to class XII with a population of 888 students and the sample selected was all X grade students totaling 237 in the 2024/2025 school year using purposive Cluster sampling technique with the criteria of X grade students who were still not members of extracurricular activities. The results of this study indicate that class X students of SMAN 4 Probolinggo have a high interest in extracurricular handball of 76% with the most dominant factor to influence students, namely instrinsic factors of 78% with an activity indicator of 71%.
