Analisa Pengaturan Kecepatan Pompa Untuk Dosing Liquid di PT Unilever Indonesia
Main Article Content
Abstract
The dosing system plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of liquid material filling in the manufacturing process. At PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, a three-phase induction motor is used to drive the dosing pump that supplies liquid into the Premix Tank. This process is controlled through an automation system based on the Siemens S7-400 PLC and PCS7 platform, with real-time weight measurement using a load cell connected to a Siwarex module. The motor speed is regulated by a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) based on analog signals from the PLC. This study analyzes the implementation of the PID control method to regulate the speed of the dosing pump motor. The PID parameters are determined using a trial-and-error approach to achieve optimal system performance. The test results show that the parameter combination of P = 0.5 and I = 0.7 with D = 0 produces an overshoot of 2.5% and a steady-state error of 0. This implementation has been proven to improve the dosing process accuracy and reduce overdosing by up to 30% compared to the previous system. Therefore, the application of a PID controller in motor speed control provides a significant improvement in accuracy, stability, and efficiency of the liquid dosing system in an automated manufacturing environment.
