Abstract

Field Work Practice (PKL) at the Social Protection House (RPS) provides real experience in understanding the social rehabilitation process for vulnerable individuals, especially People with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) such as vagrants and street buskers. This article is a reflection of the author's journey during the PKL, with a focus on mentoring a client named "M", a 26-year-old former busker. The mentoring was carried out through the stages of social work, namely engagement, assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and termination. The intervention used the Transtheoretical Model (TTM) approach to assist clients in the process of behavioral change. The results showed positive developments in M, such as increased self-confidence, social interaction skills, and readiness to return to living independently in society. This experience strengthened the author's understanding of the importance of a supportive environment, a humanistic approach, and the role of social institutions in encouraging individual transformation in a sustainable manner.
