PERAN MAHASISWA DALAM PENDAMPINGAN ANAK TUNANETRA DI SLBA KARYA MURNI
Main Article Content
Abstract
Assisting children with visual impairments requires an empathetic, structured, and responsive approach tailored to their special needs. This practice employed a qualitative case study method, incorporating the Delphi technique for multi-informant assessment and a Venn Diagram tool to map the intersection between academic skills, learning independence, and environmental support. The client, Stiven, a 13-year-old blind student at SLBA Karya Murni, struggled with basic reading, numeracy, and punctuation comprehension. Interventions were conducted using a multisensory and strength-based approach, resulting in improvements in fundamental academic skills and self-confidence. This practice demonstrates that an individual casework method integrated with collaborative assessment techniques can yield significant impact in inclusive education.
