Abstract

The initial aim of this research is to describe: 1) Implementation of integrated Islamic school curriculum management at SDI Pelangi, Bandar Lampung City; 2) Factors that support the implementation of the integrated Islamic school curriculum at SDI Pelangi, Bandar Lampung City; 3) Challenges or factors that hinder the implementation of the integrated Islamic school curriculum at SDI Pelangi, Bandar Lampung City; and 4) The strategy carried out by SDI Pelangi Bandar Lampung City in implementing the Integrated Islamic School curriculum in accordance with the characteristics of the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT).


This type of research is qualitative research. The research was conducted at SDI Pelangi, Bandar Lampung City because it was assumed that the school implemented integrated Islamic school curriculum management. The subject of this research is the school principal. The informant is the deputy principal for curriculum and teachers. Data collection methods were carried out by interviews, documentation and observation. Data validity using data triangulation. Data analysis uses qualitative descriptive. The data analysis technique is carried out using an interactive model consisting of data collection, reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.


The research results show: 1) SDI Pelangi Bandar Lampung City does not use an integrated Islamic school curriculum in learning. However, using a national curriculum that is adapted to the specifics of the school (local curriculum); 2) Implementation of an adapted national curriculum (local curriculum) implemented at SDI Pelangi using management principles, namely planning, implementation and evaluation; 3) Factors that support the implementation of adapted national curriculum management (local curriculum) at SDI Pelangi include; the existence of young and enthusiastic human resources (HR), adequate facilities, foundation support in holding trainings, full support from student parents, support from the social environment around SDI Pelangi; 4) Challenges or factors inhibiting curriculum implementation faced by SDI Pelangi Bandar Lampung City include: facing changes to the national curriculum, lack of teacher knowledge, facilities and resources that are not yet fully supported, limited technical assistance and training from the government or education department, lack of understanding parents regarding changes in the curriculum implemented, and pressure from the community or surrounding environment which has various expectations regarding the results of curriculum implementation; 5) The strategy of SDI Pelangi, Bandar Lampung City in facing challenges and maintaining the quality of education is as follows: The Head of SDI Pelangi simplifies subjects that are considered ineffective or has the potential to burden students without having a significant impact on learning outcomes, establishes close communication with stakeholders mapping learning content and resources, and changing the assessment system and reporting learning results to student parents.
