Abstract

Indonesia's tourism sector boasts significant potential with diverse types of tourism, supported by its geographical conditions and tropical climate. The sector's contribution to Indonesia's GDP and workforce absorption shows an increasing trend from 2019 to 2024. The 2023 World Economic Forum (WEF) report highlights the importance of tourism sustainability and risk management, especially in facing potential hazards. Tulungagung Regency, despite high visitor interest, still faces challenges in optimizing risk management in its coastal tourism sector. Therefore, effective strategic planning and risk management are crucial for enhancing tourism safety and sustainability. The research methodology employed is a literature review (library research), involving the collection and processing of data from various sources.
