Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using PowerPoint learning media on students' learning appeal. So that it can provide insight to readers on how significant the influence of using learning media is on students' learning appeal, especially among SMP Negeri 4 Angkola Timur. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach method. The population of this study were students of SMP Negeri 4 Angkola Timur from grade VII to grade IX. The sample technique used was Simple Random Sampling, the number of which was 127 students, where the experimental class was 65 students and the control class was 62 students. The research tool used was a questionnaire in the form of a Google Form which was distributed through the WhatsApp group. Inferential statistics using the t-test formula, obtained a t-count value with a value of 19.080 greater than t-table with a value of 1.65734 at a significance level of 0.05 (5%). This shows that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The results of this study show that the use of learning media has a significant effect on students' learning appeal.
