Abstract
Kebutuhan air bersih pada industri sangat penting untuk memenuhi segala aktivitas produksi, air laut merupakan sumber air baku yang secara kuantitas tidak terbatas. Salah satu proses desalinasi yang telah dikenal adalah teknologi sea water reverse osmosis. Sistem teknologi proses pengolahan air laut osmosis terbalik (sea water reverse osmosis) memerlukan pengendalian pompa-pompa agar kondisi proses beroperasi dengan aman. Dalam mewujudkan efektivitas proses pengolahan air laut teknologi sea water reverse osmosis dan mengurangi potensi kesalahan manusia dalam proses-nya, maka integrasi teknologi otomatisasi menjadi penting. Sehingga sistem kontrol otomatis dengan menggunakan PLC dan HMI pada proses desalinasi dapat diaplikasikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) yang diaplikasikan pada salah satu proyek sistem desalinasi di PT. Asian Tec Indonesia, jenis metode penelitian ini digunakan penulis untuk menguji keberhasilan prinsip kerja proses. Berdasarkan pengujian dan pengamatan prinsip kerja sistem MMF, DF dan UF untuk mode operational dan mode backwash, kemudian hasil pengujian dan pengamatan prinsip kerja sistem SWRO untuk mode operational dan mode rinse, kemudian hasil pengujian dan pengamatan prinsip kerja sistem BWRO untuk mode operational dan water distribution to user dapat diketahui sistem proses sesuai dengan prinsip kerja dan dengan tingkat keberhasilan 100%.
The need for clean water in industry is very important to meet all production activities, seawater is a source of raw water that is unlimited in quantity. One of the known desalination processes is sea water reverse osmosis technology. The sea water reverse osmosis process technology system requires pump control so that the process conditions operate safely. In realizing the effectiveness of the sea water reverse osmosis technology process and reducing the potential for human error in the process, the integration of automation technology is important. So that the automatic control system using PLC and HMI in the desalination process can be applied. The research method used is the type of research and development (research and development) which is applied to one of the desalination system projects at PT. Asian Tec Indonesia, this type of research method is used by the author to test the success of the process working principle. Based on testing and observing the working principle of the MMF, DF and UF systems for operational mode and backwash mode, then the results of testing and observing the working principle of the SWRO system for operational mode and rinse mode, then the results of testing and observing the working principle of the BWRO system for operational mode and water distribution to user can be seen that the process system is in accordance with the working principle and with a success rate of 100%.
