Abstract
Losing them doesn't make us lose is the theme of therapeutic groupwork which answers mental health cases in teenagers who experience loss during their lives and this disturbs their psychological well-being.Therapeutic groupwork is one of the main methods of social worker intervention that aims to help or cure problems faced by clients through groups (groupwork). The methods of activities carried out include first engagement, intake, contract, second assessment, third plan of intervention, fourth intervention, fifth monitoring, sixth evaluation and finally termination. Therapeutic groupwork will be present with a psychoanalytic therapy approach with the talking cure technique. The talking cure technique is an early therapy technique created by Freud and Breuer, where clients are fostered with good relationships with professional experts (social workers, psychologists, doctors) to then tell stories about their past experiences. Clients are encouraged to express feelings and experiences that make them uncomfortable, so that they can release pressure and gain emotional relief. Therapeutic groupwork will be carried out in several meetings. This activity involved 4 clients who had/were experiencing loss, the author, Centa Mita Remaja Volunteers and PKBI SUMUT Counselors. This therapeutic groupwork is expected to be a forum for teenagers who have/are experiencing loss to cleanse each other so that they do not feel isolated and they can accept and interpret loss as a natural part of the life cycle.
