GAMBARAN COMPASSION SATISFACTION PADA CAREGIVER DALAM MERAWAT ORANG DENGAN SKIZOFRENIA (ODS) DI YAYASAN REHABILITASI MENTAL X

Abstract
The increasing prevalence of schizophrenia in Indonesia emphasize the crucial role of caregivers in providing care for individuals with schizophrenia, particularly within rehabilitation settings. One of the factors that supports caregiver’s psychological resilience is compassion satisfaction. This study aims to describe the compassion satisfaction among caregivers at Yayasan Rehabilitasi Mental X. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. The participants consisted of three formal caregivers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The study showed that caregivers experience compassion satisfaction through the way they find meaning in their work, job satisfaction, the development of a sense of competence, social connectedness and support fostered by a sense of family and teamwork, as well as positive contributions to others through the empowerment of foster children.
Meningkatnya prevalensi skizofrenia di Indonesia mendorong pentingnya peran caregiver dalam memberikan perawatan yang bagi Orang dengan Skizofrenia (ODS), terutama di lingkungan rehabilitasi. Salah satu faktor yang mendukung ketahanan psikologis caregiver adalah compassion satisfaction. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan compassion satisfaction pada caregiver di Yayasan Rehabilitasi Mental X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek terdiri dari tiga caregiver formal yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan compassion satisfaction yang dialami caregiver, yaitu cara memaknai pekerjaan, kepuasan terhadap pekerjaan, rasa kompetensi yang dikembangkan, keterhubungan sosial dan dukungan melalui rasa kekeluargaan dan kerja sama tim, serta kontribusi positif bagi orang lain dengan memberdayakan anak asuh.
