Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and organizational culture on employee engagement among workers in the manufacturing sector in DKI Jakarta. The background of this research lies in the observed low levels of employee engagement in manufacturing industries, primarily driven by inadequate compensation and suboptimal organizational culture. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 respondents selected using purposive sampling, with the criteria being permanent employees with a minimum of two years of work experience in the manufacturing sector in DKI Jakarta. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25, including validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, simple linear regression analysis, and t-tests. The results indicate that compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, as does organizational culture. These findings suggest that improving compensation systems and strengthening organizational culture play essential roles in enhancing employee engagement. The implications of this study may serve as a reference for companies in developing effective and sustainable human resource management strategies.
