Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality and word of mouth on purchasing decisions of 3Second Family Store consumers in Tasikmalaya City. The research method used is a quantitative method with a causal approach. The sample used was 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 30 support application. The results showed that product quality and word of mouth had a simultaneous and partial effect on purchasing decisions. Product quality has a positive and significant effect, meaning that the higher the consumer's perception of product quality, the higher the tendency to make a purchase. Likewise, word of mouth also has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. These findings imply that companies need to improve product quality and utilize word of mouth communication strategies to improve consumer purchasing decisions.
