Abstract
In the midst of rapid globalisation and modernisation, the value of nationalism among Indonesia's young generation has been severely challenged. Lifestyles that are increasingly connected to consumerism, individualism and westernised culture have distracted the younger generation from their local cultural heritage. This article discusses how the ideology of nationalism can be infused into the modern lifestyle of young people through family, education and government policy approaches. The study shows that strategies such as character building, strengthening local values through education, and using digital media to communicate nationalism messages can be effective solutions. If the younger generation is aligned with nationalist values and modern lifestyles, they can maintain their national identity without rejecting the progress of the times.
