Abstract
Local culture is one of the important pillars in the formation of national character and instilling citizenship values. However, the young generation who are raised in orphanages often have limited access to introduction to regional culture. This socialization activity was carried out to introduce local wisdom values and strengthen appreciation for Malay culture through the introduction of traditional culinary, namely Laksamana Mengamuk ice. The purpose of this activity is to foster a love for regional culture, increase understanding of the meaning of traditional culinary, and instill citizenship values that respect cultural heritage. The implementation method includes delivering material about Malay wisdom and culture, explaining the philosophical meaning of Laksamana Mengamuk ice, demonstrating how to make traditional drinks, and interactive tasting sessions with children from the Amanah Harapan Raya Orphanage. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm from the participants, with positive responses marked by their interest in the story of the origin of Laksamana Mengamuk ice and their joy when tasting it. The interactive discussion also showed an increase in their understanding of the importance of preserving local culture. In conclusion, this socialization is effective in instilling citizenship values through the introduction of Malay culture, as well as being a means of building togetherness and appreciation for traditional culinary heritage. Such activities are expected to continue to be carried out to expand cultural education and strengthen national identity in the younger generation.
