Abstract
Investment in the agrarian sector has significantly increased in recent decades, but it often raises legal and social issues that disadvantage farmers as landowners. In the unequal relationship between farmers and investors, farmers frequently find themselves in a weak position due to limited legal knowledge and economic pressure. This study aims to analyze the available legal protections for landowning farmers and identify the obstacles in their implementation. The research employs a normative legal method using statutory and conceptual approaches, supported by literature studies on agrarian and investment regulations. The findings reveal that legal protection for farmers remains weak in practice, both in terms of legal substance, access to justice, and the effectiveness of law enforcement institutions. Therefore, regulatory strengthening, legal assistance, and active involvement of the state and civil society are required to establish a fair and sustainable relationship between farmers and investors.
