The Community Service Program conducted at the Class IIB Purbalingga State Detention Center aims to increase awareness and promote Clean and Healthy Living Behavior among inmates through health education activities and the formation of health agents. The main problem faced is the condition of overcapacity housing, which impacts low cleanliness levels and a high risk of disease transmission. The implementation methods include coordination with the detention center authorities, educational counseling, training of health agents, installation of visual media, and periodic evaluations. Health agents are selected from inmates who have a high awareness of cleanliness and are trained to disseminate information and act as change agents within the housing units. The results of the activities show an increase in inmates' awareness of the importance of maintaining personal and environmental hygiene, as well as active participation in maintaining room sanitation. Visual posters placed at various strategic points also help reinforce health messages, especially for inmates with limited literacy. This program not only positively impacts the inmates but also enhances the social, communication, and leadership competencies of the implementing students. In conclusion, the participatory and community empowerment approach applied has been able to create sustainable behavioral and environmental changes within the detention center. It is hoped that this program can become a model that can be replicated in other correctional institutions in Indonesia.
