PEMBERDAYAAN KELUARGA BAPAK MUHIDIN MELALUI PROGRAM PEMBUKAAN USAHA JUAL BANTAL DAN GULING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEBERLANGSUNGAN HIDUP

Abstract

Community empowerment is an activity that seeks to prepare the community along with steps to strengthen community institutions so that they are able to realize progress, independence, and prosperity in an atmosphere of sustainable social justice (Sumariadi, 2005:11). The goal is to improve the community's ability to manage themselves and their environment, increase income to meet their living needs, and be able to create equality in the community. Empowerment of poor families is one of the activities that encourages individuals to stretch their hands to help others for those who have not been able to meet their basic needs. This empowerment activity for poor families is carried out consciously without any coercion from any party. The poor are a group of people who live in poverty so that they face misery, helplessness, suffering, and other misfortunes. In the perspective of the Qur'an, it is a form of partisanship and concern including the call to seek a living, give, give alms, and so on. This activity was obtained based on direct observation results and it has been obtained that the target of this empowerment is the head of the household who has a disability who works as a parking attendant, namely Mr. Muhidin. Mr. Muhidin has 3 children and a wife as a housewife, which means that the income comes from his father. Fundraising in this activity utilizes social media. Based on the fundraising that has been carried out, a total of Rp. 1,866,000 has been received which was then handed over in the form of goods to open a business, prayer equipment, magic com, and basic necessities.
