Main Article Content
Abstract
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is one of the musculoskeletal disorders frequently experienced by workers in the industrial sector involving repetitive activities, such as the embroidery industry. The lack of understanding about CTS and the absence of ergonomic education have led to low awareness among workers regarding the prevention of CTS. This research aims to increase the knowledge of embroidery workers in Tasikmalaya Regency through CTS socialization. The methods used include lectures, interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, and demonstrations. Evaluation was conducted with pretest and posttest on 30 participants. The results show a significant increase in knowledge, with an average pretest score of 4.70 rising to 8.43 on the posttest. The paired sample t-test produced a significance value (p = 0.000), indicating that the educational intervention was effective in improving participants' understanding of CTS. Ergonomic education has proven capable of fostering awareness and healthier work behaviors.
