ANALISIS PENGARUH TINGKAT PENGANGGURAN TERBUKA TERHADAP KEMISKINAN DI 30 PROVINSI YANG ADA DI INDONESIA PERIODE 2023

Abstract

Unemployment and poverty are two main problems that are still a challenge for many regions in Indonesia. This study aims to measure the extent of the influence of the open poverty rate (TPT) on poverty rates in 30 provinces in Indonesia in 2023. The approach used in this study is quantitative with a cross-section data type, where all data is sourced from official publications of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis methods used include descriptive statistics to present characteristic data, as well as simple linear regression to test the relationship between the free variable (TPT) and the bound variable (poverty level).

The results of the analysis showed that there was a fairly strong positive relationship between the open poverty rate and the poverty rate, with a correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.675. This means that an increase in the poverty rate in an area tends to be accompanied by an increase in the number of poor people. However, a coefficient of determination (R²) value of 45.6% indicates that poverty only explains part of the variation in poverty, while mortality is influenced by other factors such as education, access to public services, economic growth, and local government policies.

These findings underscore the importance of a policy approach that not only focuses on job creation, but also pays attention to other structural factors that contribute to poverty. Therefore, poverty alleviation policies in Indonesia need to be adjusted to the characteristics of each region and supported by integrated cross-sectoral efforts. With a more comprehensive approach, the development programs that are expected to be carried out are able to improve the welfare of the community more evenly and sustainably.
