KEMANFAATAN SHOPEEPAY DAN SHOPEE PAYLATER UNTUK BERBELANJA BAGI GEN Z

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak sistem bayar nanti atau yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan Shopee PayLater terhadap minat belanja di kalangan Generasi Z di Kota Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden yang termasuk dalam kategori usia Gen-Z. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan e-commerce, khususnya Shopee, memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pola konsumsi masyarakat muda. Beberapa faktor yang mendorong perilaku konsumtif antara lain kemudahan dalam melakukan pembayaran. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa ShopeePay dan Shopee PayLater bukan sekadar platform belanja daring, melainkan turut membentuk kebiasaan konsumtif baru di kalangan generasi muda yang responsif terhadap kemajuan teknologi dan tren digital.

Abstract
This research aims to explore the impact of the ShopeePay and Shopee PayLater system, on the shopping interest among Generation Z (Gen-Z) in Pekanbaru City. Employing a qualitative approach, data was collected through questionnaires distributed to Gen Z respondents. The findings indicate that the presence of e-commerce, particularly Shopee and ShopeePay, significantly influences the consumption patterns of young people. Among the factors driving consumptive behavior is the ease of making payments. This study reveals that ShopeePay and Shopee PayLater are not merely online shopping platforms; they also shape new consumptive habits within the younger generation, who are highly responsive to technological advancements and digital trends.
