HUBUNGAN ANTARA CITRA TUBUH DENGAN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI PADA SANTRI DI PONDOK PESANTREN X

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between body image and self-confidence among students (santri). The hypothesis of this study states that there is a positive relationship between body image and self confidence among santri. The respondents in this study consisted of 260 male students enrolled at Islamic Boarding School X. A quantitative correlational approach was employed, and data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique. The results showed a significant positive correlation between body image and self-confidence, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.608 and a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the more positive the santri's body image, the higher their self confidence tends to be, and vice versa. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between body image and self-confidence among santri, thus supporting the research hypothesis.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara citra tubuh dengan kepercayaan diri paa Santri. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara citra tubuh dengan kepercayaan diri pada Santri. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 260 orang yang merupakan santri Pondok Pesantren X. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kuantitatif korelasional, yang menunjukkan hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dengan nilai koefisien korelasi r= 0,608 dan nilai signifikansi p= 0,000 (p< 0,05). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi citra tubuh santri, maka semakin tinggi pula kepercayaan dirinya, dan begitu pula sebaliknya. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara citra tubuh dengan kepercayaan diri pada santri, sehingga hipotesis penelitian ini diterima.
