Abstract

Cyberloafing can be caused by individual factors such as personality. This study aims to determine the influence of Big Five personalities on cyberloafing behavior in food and beverages industry employees in District X, Bekasi Regency. The methods used were quantitative and multiple linear regression methods, data were collected from 138 respondents using gpower software with a correlation calculation of α=0.15, margin of error =0.05, power statistical 95%, and number of predictors =5. The sampling technique used is in the form of non-probability sampling. The measuring instruments used are in the form of the Mini-IPIP scale and Doorn's cyberloafing. The results showed that the Big Five personality dimension simultaneously had a significant influence on cyberloafing with a contribution of 10.6%. Partially, Extroversion, Conscientiousness, and Openness have a significant influence, while Agreeableness and Neuroticism do not. The high prevalence of cyberloafing in workers with moderate personality profiles suggests that this behavior has been normalized in the work environment.
