GAMBARAN SELF ESTEEM PADA GURU ABK DI YAYASAN X SURABAYA

Abstract
The background of this research is the well- being and burdens experienced by special needs teachers (guru ABK), which differ from those of general education teachers. This study aims to explore the self- esteem of special needs teachers at Foundation X in Surabaya. A qualitative approach was used with a case study method. The study involved four participants who are special needs teachers at Foundation X Surabaya. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of this study indicate that the self-esteem of the four participants can be described through six aspects of self- esteem: living consciously, self-acceptance, self- responsibility, self-assertiveness, living purposefully, and personal integrity.
Latar belakang dari penelitian adalah kesejahteraan dan beban yang ditanggung oleh guru abk yang berbeda daripada guru lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran self-esteem pada guru abk di yayasan x Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Melibatkan empat partisipan guru abk di yayasan x Surabaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan gambaran self esteem keempat partisipan dapat dijelaskan melalui enam aspek self esteem, yakni living consciously, self-acceptance, self-responbility, self- assertiveness, living purposefully, dan personal integrity.
