Abstract
Fever or febrile seizures are one of the health problems often experienced by preschool children and can trigger febrile seizures (febrile convulsions). This condition requires fast and appropriate treatment to prevent serious complications. One of the effective nursing interventions to lower a child's body temperature is the provision of warm water compresses. This study aims to implement the provision of warm water compresses as part of nursing care for children with hyperthermia nursing problems who experience febrile convulsions. The research method used is a descriptive case study of one child who was treated at RSUD dr. Koesnadi Bondowoso. The nursing process includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the implementation showed a significant decrease in the patient's body temperature after being given warm water compresses regularly, as well as improvements in the patient's general condition. This study shows that warm water compresses are one of the effective non-pharmacological interventions and can be applied as part of nursing actions to treat hyperthermia in children with febrile convulsions. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference in pediatric nursing practice, especially in handling cases of fever and febrile seizures.
