Abstract
Sexual violence against children is a complex issue that inflicts not only physical harm but also deep and lasting psychological trauma. Within this context, social workers play a frontline role in ensuring the recovery and protection of the victims. This research adopts a literature review method to critically explore the strategic role of social workers in responding to child sexual abuse cases. The findings reveal that social workers function not only as companions and counselors but also as advocates, mediators, and facilitators who connect victims to essential support services. Challenges such as limited resources, societal stigma, and weak institutional coordination often hinder effective responses. Nonetheless, with a collaborative and child- centered approach, social workers are capable of making a significant positive impact on the healing journey of victims and the strengthening of child protection systems. This study aspires to serve as an initial foundation for advancing humane, responsive, and policy-oriented social work interventions for child sexual abuse victims.
