Persepsi Pengunjung terhadap Aktivitas Pedagang di Kawasan Taman Wisata Kelapa Lima, Kota Kupang

Abstract
Taman Wisata Kelapa Lima di Kota Kupang merupakan ruang publik strategis yang menopang dinamika sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat serta menjadi destinasi wisata utama. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya memahami persepsi pengunjung terhadap aktivitas pedagang di kawasan tersebut, mengingat kontribusi pedagang terhadap pengalaman wisata dan ekonomi lokal. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis persepsi pengunjung terhadap aktivitas pedagang dengan menyoroti aspek pelayanan, variasi produk, kebersihan, dan interaksi sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap delapan responden terpilih dan observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi pengunjung bersifat kompleks: interaksi sosial yang ramah dan pelayanan pedagang meningkatkan kenyamanan, namun masalah kebersihan khususnya bau amis dan sampah dari penjual ikan menjadi faktor utama yang menurunkan kepuasan. Pembahasan merujuk pada Teori Persepsi Sosial Heider & Kelley (1958), yang menegaskan bahwa persepsi individu terhadap aktivitas pedagang sangat dipengaruhi oleh interaksi sosial dan kondisi lingkungan. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah perlunya pengelolaan sampah yang lebih baik, penataan area jualan yang terstruktur, serta pembinaan berkelanjutan bagi pedagang untuk menciptakan keseimbangan antara manfaat ekonomi dan kenyamanan pengunjung, sehingga membangun citra positif destinasi wisata.
