Abstract
Mutual cooperation, as a noble tradition, has long been a socio-cultural identity of the Indonesian people. The tradition of mutual cooperation is a reflection of local wisdom that is a pillar of the socio-culture of the Indonesian nation. This practice grows in people's lives as a form of solidarity and selfless cooperation. This study aims to examine more deeply about mutual cooperation as a local wisdom that plays a role in preserving culture. Through socialization activities and direct practice, this study also aims to increase the understanding and participation of the younger generation in the tradition of mutual cooperation and it is hoped that this tradition can improve the quality of life of the wider community. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were obtained from various scientific journals, E-books as references, and articles. The results of the study show that mutual cooperation is not only a collective activity, but also a value system that underlies social, economic, and cultural interactions in various communities in Indonesia, the results of this study indicate that socialization activities are effective in increasing the understanding of orphanage children about mutual cooperation. The practice of mutual cooperation in cleaning the mosque area also provides direct experience and strengthens the values of togetherness. Despite the challenges of modernization and individualism, mutual cooperation remains relevant as an important pillar in building an inclusive, just and sustainable society.
