PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM ABSENSI ONLINE BERBASIS QR CODEDENGAN ROTASI KODE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEAMANAN DAN EFISIEN

Abstract

Attendance is a crucial component of the administrative process in various institutions, particularly in educational and organizational settings. Manual attendance systems have various weaknesses, such as being prone to manipulation and inefficient in data processing. This research aims to develop a QR Code-based online attendance system with a code rotation mechanism (dynamic QR code) to improve the security and efficiency of the attendance process. This system was built using the Waterfall software development method and implemented as a web-based application. Testing was conducted using a black box testing approach and user interviews. The test results showed that the system successfully increased time efficiency and minimized the potential for conditions such as leaving attendance on hold. The QR code rotation feature proved effective in preventing the same code from being used for extended periods.

Abstrak

Absensi merupakan komponen penting dalam proses administrasi di berbagai institusi, khususnya di lingkungan pendidikan dan organisasi. Sistem absensi manual memiliki berbagai kelemahan seperti rawan manipulasi dan kurang efisien dalam pengolahan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem absensi online berbasis QR Code dengan mekanisme rotasi kode (kode QR dinamis) sebagai upaya meningkatkan keamanan dan efisiensi proses absensi. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak Waterfall, dan diimplementasikan dalam bentuk web-based application. Pengujian dilakukan dengan pendekatan black box testing dan wawancara terhadap pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dan meminimalkan potensi kecurangan seperti titip absen. Fitur rotasi QR code terbukti efektif dalam menghindari penyalahgunaan kode yang sama dalam rentang waktu lama.
