Abstract

The background of this study focuses on the importance of work life
balance in supporting employee job satisfaction. This research aims to
determine the relationship between work life balance and job
satisfaction among employees in the consumer retail sector. The study
employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational
method. The subjects consisted of 95 permanent employees working
at a company located in Surabaya. Data were collected using a work
life balance scale and a job satisfaction scale. Data analysis was
conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique
with the assistance of SPSS version 27.0 for Windows. The results
showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a correlation
coefficient of 0.635, indicating a significant and positive relationship
between work life balance and job satisfaction at a moderate level.
This finding shows that the better the employees’ work life balance,
the higher their job satisfaction
