Abstract

Patients who experience hallucinations are caused by a lack of ability to control hallucinations. Problems caused by hallucinations usually also experience nursing problems that cause hallucinations, problems include low self-esteem and social isolation. Pharmacological treatment that is often done is administering antipsychotic drugs, antidepressants and other pharmacological treatments. Meanwhile, the recommended non-pharmacological treatment is the technique of controlling auditory hallucinations, stating that involving patients in interpersonal activities is a distraction to ignore and divert so that it presents reality. An easy activity to do is with modality therapy. Actions by providing modality therapy, namely aerobic exercise therapy, aim to improve sensory abilities, efforts to focus attention, physical fitness and express feelings. The purpose of this study is to reduce the symptoms of auditory hallucinations by using aerobic exercise therapy. The method used in this scientific work is aerobic exercise therapy intervention. The sample in this scientific work is a patient who experienced auditory hallucinations 4 people conducted for 20 minutes. Assessed using the Auditory Hallucination Rating Scale (AHRS) questionnaire. The scientific work was conducted on June 4-6, 2025. The results of the scientific work showed that the third day showed a decrease in the pro test and post test values ​​of aerobic exercise therapy as one method in healing or reducing the symptoms of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia patients.
