Abstract
Hallucinations are one of the positive symptoms of schizophrenia. Hallucinations are defined as the loss of a person's ability to distinguish between internal stimuli (thoughts) and external stimuli (the outside world). One of the therapies that can be provided for patients with auditory hallucinations is psychoreligious therapy. One of the most effective psychoreligious therapies is Qur’anic Murottal therapy. Murottal therapy involves the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an in a specific manner with a calming rhythm and melody. The purpose of this study is to explain Evidence-Based Practice as a therapy for patients with auditory hallucinations using Qur’anic Murottal therapy. The method used is an experimental technique (intervention) on patients with auditory hallucinations. The study involved two respondents diagnosed with auditory hallucinations. This therapy was conducted over a period of three days, with each session lasting 10–15 minutes. The scientific work was carried out from December 30, 2024, to January 2, 2025. The evaluation was conducted using the Auditory Hallucination Rating Scale (AHRS) with a pretest and posttest approach. The results showed a decrease in the scores from pretest to posttest after the implementation of Qur’anic Murottal spiritual therapy. The implementation of Qur'anic Murottal therapy with Surah Ar-Rahman, is recommended as an effective method for managing or reducing auditory hallucination symptoms in individuals with schizophrenia.
