Abstract
Elderly is a condition that occurs in human life. Elderly are individuals aged over 60 years who have signs of a continuous decline in biological, psychological, social, and economic functions naturally. Getting older causes the elderly to experience a decline in body functions and one of the causes that is often experienced due to the aging process is hypertension. Factors that influence hypertension such as obesity, lifestyle, stress, age, family history, and gender. The purpose of the Final Scientific Paper for Nurses is to provide an overview of the results of the practice of the Nursing Profession with the Application of Gerontic Nursing Care with Lavender Aromatherapy on Blood Pressure in Elderly with Hypertension Sufferers in Sari Galuh Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The implementation method used is a case study on the elderly with hypertension using a measuring tool, namely a tensiometer. The success of the implementation of intervention actions is measured before and after the administration of lavender aromatherapy to the family. The implementation was carried out on May 9-11, 2025 with 3 elderly people suffering from hypertension. The results of this case study after being carried out twice a day for 3 days on the subject, obtained the results after administering lavender aromatherapy with blood pressure of 179/84 mmHg - 157/81 mmHg. The application of lavender aromatherapy showed an average result after being given there was a difference in the curve of success of the elderly on blood pressure before and after administration of lavender aromatherapy in the elderly with hypertension. This therapy has been proven effective as a non-pharmacological method to lower blood pressure in elderly with hypertension.
