Abstract
This study explores the challenges and professional strategies of teachers in educating hearing-impaired students at SLB-B Karya Murni Medan. Using a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews and observation, the research reveals several obstacles faced by teachers, including students’ communication limitations, lack of resources, and inadequate professional training. To address these issues, teachers implement adaptive strategies such as individualized instruction, specialized therapies, and emotional approaches tailored to student needs. Collaboration with parents and institutional support also play vital roles in enhancing learning effectiveness. The study underscores the importance of continuous professional development and the active involvement of all stakeholders in creating an inclusive educational environment that responds to the diverse needs of students with special needs.
