Abstract
The North Sumatra State Museum plays an important role in preserving cultural heritage and educating the community through professional and innovative collection management. Collection management, including thematic arrangement, digitalization, and development of educational facilities, is the key to the success of this institution in increasing accessibility and relevance to current developments. Despite facing challenges such as limited resources, conservation needs, and the need for digital transformation, the museum demonstrates its ability to adapt through the use of information technology, social media, and other digital innovations. The combination of conservation strategies, education, and collaboration with the community and related parties makes the North Sumatra State Museum a dynamic center for cultural preservation that is able to answer the educational needs of current and future generations.
