Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of adolescents’ obedience to parents and avoidance of delinquency on Islamic values. Increasing deviant behavior among teenagers reflects the weakening role of religious values in their daily lives. In Islam, obedience to parents and avoiding misbehavior are essential aspects of forming a religious character. This research applies a quantitative associative approach. The sample consisted of 100 Muslim adolescents in Serang City, selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring three variables: obedience to parents (X1), avoidance of delinquency (X2), and Islamic values (Y). The analysis showed that both independent variables had a significant and positive effect on Islamic values, with a significance level < 0.05 and an R² of 0.64. This indicates that 64% of the variation in Islamic values is explained by these two variables. It can be concluded that adolescents who obey their parents and avoid delinquency tend to have a stronger understanding and practice of Islamic values.
