RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN TEMPAT TINGGAL KOLEKTIF BERBASIS WEB DENGAN METODE RAD: STUDI KASUS PESANTREN MAHASISWA FKAM

Abstract

FKAM Student Boarding House faces challenges in managing resident data, duty rosters, and financial records. Member data is often unstructured, cleaning schedules are inefficient, and financial records are prone to errors. Each resident takes turns in cleaning duties and contributes monthly fees to support operational needs. Based on the experience of similar communal residences, a web-based information system can improve the efficiency of data management. This study aims to design and develop a web-based management information system for collective housing using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The case study was conducted at FKAM Student Boarding House. The system is designed to simplify and streamline the management of member data, duty schedules, and financial transactions. The website was developed using Bootstrap 5 as the front-end framework, PHP as the programming language, MySQL for the database, and Visual Studio Code as the development tool. The RAD approach enables rapid development through iterative phases of requirement planning, prototyping, user feedback, and implementation. The resulting system facilitates data entry, duty scheduling, fee tracking, and membership updates, all in an organized and accessible manner. It significantly enhances the overall management of communal living. Moreover, the developed system has the potential to be adapted by other collective housing environments with similar needs.
