REORIENTASI NILAI DAN NORMA SOSIAL: PERAN BIMBINGAN KONSELING DALAM MEMBERIKAN PEMAHAMAN KEPADA KOMUNITAS HOMOSEKSUAL

Abstract

Globalization has driven changes in social values and norms, including the way society views the diversity of sexual identities. This article aims to analyze the impact of globalization on shifting values, identify the challenges faced by the homosexual community, and explain the role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) in responding to the issue. Using the literature review method, the research found that the homosexual community is often faced with social stigma and inner conflict due to non-conformity with existing norms in society. Counseling services function as a mentoring space that supports self-understanding, psychological well-being, and social harmony. In addition, counseling in the community also contributes to a more reflective process of value adjustment, and guides the homosexual community towards a healthier life that is in line with moral values through an empathic and educative approach.

Globalisasi telah mendorong perubahan nilai dan norma sosial, termasuk cara pandang masyarakat terhadap keberagaman identitas seksual. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak globalisasi terhadap pergeseran nilai, mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi komunitas homoseksual, serta menjelaskan peran Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dalam merespons isu tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode kajian literatur, penelitian menemukan bahwa komunitas homoseksual sering kali berhadapan dengan stigma sosial dan konflik batin karena ketidaksesuaian dengan norma-norma yang ada di masyarakat. Layanan BK berfungsi sebagai ruang pendampingan yang mendukung pemahaman diri, kesejahteraan psikologis, serta keharmonisan sosial. Selain itu, BK di komunitas  juga berkontribusi dalam proses penyesuaian nilai secara lebih reflektif, dan membimbing komunitas homoseksual menuju kehidupan yang lebih sehat dan selaras dengan nilai-nilai moral melalui pendekatan yang empatik dan edukatif.
