Abstract
This study aims to explore self-compassion among housewives raising children with disabilities. The research was based on the emotional and psychological pressure experienced by mothers in caregiving roles. This qualitative study used a phenomenological approach and thematic analysis. The participants were five housewives who have children with disabilities. The findings revealed that self-compassion is expressed through self-kindness when dealing with emotional fatigue, acceptance of the child's condition, emotional awareness, self-care strategies, and social support. Self-compassion also emerges through reflection and learning from parenting experiences. Influencing factors include age, family support, spirituality, and collectivist cultural values. These results show that self-compassion plays an important role in helping mothers remain emotionally resilient in the caregiving process.
