Pregnancy is a period of biological and psychological changes, as well as adaptation to lifestyle and the pregnancy process itself. Lower back pain is back pain that occurs in the lumbosacral or lumbar region. Pregnant women who experience back pain will certainly feel uncomfortable. Ginger compresses are one of the non-pharmacological treatments to reduce back pain in pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of nursing care for third-trimester pregnant women experiencing lower back pain using red ginger water compresses at the Melur Sukajadi Community Health Center. The method employed was a case study, accompanied by an observation sheet. The implementation of the intervention in the form of applying warm red ginger water compresses was carried out on one third-trimester pregnant woman for 3 consecutive days in the morning and evening with chronic pain problems. The results of this application showed a decrease in pain in third-trimester pregnant women with a decrease in the pain scale from a scale of 6 (moderate pain) to a scale of 3 (mild pain). This study is expected to serve as a reference for health workers and implement non-pharmacological interventions for third-trimester pregnant women with chronic pain problems.
