ANALISIS RISIKO PAPARAN BENZENA TERHADAP KESEHATAN PEKERJA DI INDUSTRI KIMIA : LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract
Benzene is often used in industrial sectors such as the rubber industry, chemical factories, oil to shoe factories and printing places. The chemicals used often do not pay attention to the health impacts on workers which can increase the incidence of Occupational Diseases in the future. Populations that are vulnerable to benzene exposure in the workplace are workers who work in an environment where there is benzene exposure. This study aims to analyze the Risk of Benzene Exposure to Worker Health in the Chemical Industry. This research method is a literature review to collect and evaluate research related to a particular topic focus, the database used in searching for this article is Google Scholar, using the keyword "Benzene". Results: The results of the literature review indicate that benzene exposure in the workplace is still a serious threat to worker health, especially in the chemical, oil and gas, shoe manufacturing, and laboratory industries. Benzene, as part of the aromatic compound BTX (benzene, toluene, xylene), has high toxic potential both in the short term (acute) and long term (chronic). Conclusion: Based on the results of a literature review of 10 relevant studies, it can be concluded that benzene exposure in the chemical industry and similar work environments is still a serious issue that has a direct impact on workers' health.
Benzena sering digunakan di sektor industri seperti industri karet, masa depan. Populasi yang rentan akan paparan benzena di tempat kerja adalah pekerja yang bekerja di lingkungan yang ada paparan benzena. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Risiko Paparan Benzena terhadap Kesehatan Pekerja di Industri Kimia. Metode penelitian ini adalah literature review untuk mengumpulkan serta mengevaluasi penelitian yang terkait pada fokus topik tertentu database yang digunakan dalam pencarian artikel ini adalah Google Scholar, dengan menggunakan kata kunci “Benzena”. Hasil : Hasil dari tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa paparan benzena di tempat kerja masih menjadi ancaman serius terhadap kesehatan pekerja, terutama di industri kimia, migas, manufaktur sepatu, dan laboratorium. Benzena, sebagai bagian dari senyawa aromatik BTX (benzene, toluene, xylene), memiliki potensi toksik yang tinggi baik dalam jangka pendek (akut) maupun jangka panjang (kronis). Kesimpulan : Berdasarkan hasil tinjauan literatur terhadap 10 penelitian yang relevan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa paparan benzena di lingkungan kerja industri kimia dan sejenisnya masih merupakan isu serius yang berdampak langsung terhadap kesehatan pekerja.
