Abstract

Hallucinations can be defined as changes in perception of both internal and external stimuli accompanied by reduced, excessive, and distorted responses. Patients who experience hallucinations are characterized by hearing voices, whispers, seeing shadows, feeling something through the sense of touch, and smell and taste. One of the actions that can overcome sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations by providing art therapy. The purpose of this study was to explain the description of the results of the practice of the Nursing Profession with the Application "Application of Art Therapy in Patients with Auditory Hallucinations at the Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Province. The method used in this scientific work is to provide drawing tools such as drawing books, pencils as a tool to express what the patient feels. The sample of this study was patients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations. The study was conducted on June 18, 20, 21, 2025. The results of the study showed that after drawing therapy, the results showed changes in the signs and symptoms of hallucinations in patients. Suggestions related to interventions to the research site to apply drawing therapy to patients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations
