ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA KLIEN HALUSINASI PENDENGARAN DENGAN PENERAPAN TERAPI AUDIO ANIMASI DI RUANGAN MANDAU 2A RS JIWA TAMPAN PROVINSI RIAU

Abstract

Hallucinations are the loss of human ability to distinguish between internal stimuli (thoughts) and external stimuli (the outside world). Clients give perceptions or opinions about the environment without any real objects or stimuli. The most common hallucinations are auditory hallucinations, which are around 70%, visual hallucinations are 20%, and 10% are hallucinations of taste, touch, and smell. One of the main factors of auditory hallucinations is sensory disturbances. One way to treat patients with hallucinations is with audio animation therapy. Audio animation is one of the sensory therapies in group activity therapy. This therapy aims to help patients respond better to the environment, improve cognitive and social abilities, and reduce symptoms of hallucinations. The purpose of this application is to provide nursing care by using Adit Sopo Jarwo audio animation for clients with auditory hallucinations in the Mandau 2A room of RS Jiwa Tampan Provinsi Riau. This application is Evidence-Based Practice. This application was conducted in the Mandau 2A room RS Jiwa Tampan Provinsi Riau, from May 26 to 30, 2025. The number of respondents was 1 client. The results of this application concluded that verbalization of hearing whispers decreased, sensory distortion decreased, hallucinatory behavior decreased, daydreaming decreased, responses according to stimuli improved, concentration improved, and orientation improved as indicated by not hearing whispers, appearing cooperative, calm, able to stare at the person they are talking to, focused, and happy. This application recommends that sensory therapy with animated audio can be one of the options in diverting and focusing clients with auditory hallucinations.
